This was my first (colored & finished) Harry Potter fanart ever. It's really old (summer 2001) but still one of my favorite pictures.
I clearly remember drawing the sketch one day in Photography class at school, while I was reading the first book during lunch breaks or when the teachers weren't looking. Later, in summer, I traced the sketch on watercolor paper and painted it.
This is inspired by the scene in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone where Harry, Ron and Hermione have to take part in some kind of live-action magical chess. And I decided to give them clothes that resembled the chess pieces they represent: castle, knight and bishop.
Painted with watercolors.
So cool! Do you know, all of the times that I've seen this picture on your site, I have never connected the fact that you designed their clothes according to the pieces they represent? Of course you don't know (well, now you do), but it's true, anyway.

I've been a fan of your work since I first stumbled upon your website a few years ago. I'm still just as impressed and inspired by your watercolors! so amazing.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
